This is a new section for 2005 and is undergoing improvement. All of the details should be complete by Feb 14th but we have launched the page early as we have had many inquiries about our inventory of fake wedding cakes. If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or call Ron at 604-876-ANNA (2662) Fake cakes are a great way to have a bigger cake than what you require in instances like receptions that have a dessert buffet included or you have fewer guests than a desired cake requires. Below are our some of our rental cakes. We only rent the cakes we have in our inventory. We do not make new fake cakes for each wedding. Each season we add at least 3 new ones to our list as well as removing 2 or 3 as they age with normal wear and tear from rentals and display. Some of the styles also allow you to make hybrid wedding cakes such that you have fake tiers on top and a real tier on the bottom for cutting. If you elect to use all tiers fake, there is a slit for you to pretend to cut for the cake cutting ceremony. We do not insert real cake slices for food safety reasons and to minimize damage to the cakes. We have silk flowers available for rental but we suggest using real flowers from you own bridal florist as they will match your other flowers and theme colours to help enhance the illusion. Our fake cakes are made of water soluble material. Therefore you CANNOT GET THEM WET. You cannot use fresh fruits to decorate them and do NOT spray or mist any real flowers on the cake as it will cause the icing material to dissolve. Look at the headings to see what limitations and properties each style has.

Three Tier Stacking Cakes The cakes in this section below are the only cakes we cannot do hybrid fake/real. That is, we cannot do the top few tiers fake and the bottom later real for serving. This is because of our strict food safety standards. We will not re-use material that touches food unless it is stainless steel. As all the cakes below have the bottom tiers touching the tiers above, all of these cakes must be fake the whole way through. One disadvantage of wedding cakes without pillars is that they will tend to look shorter and smaller if you get more than 10 feet away from them. |
||
| This is by far our most popular rental cake. It is clean and simple and can be decorated in many different ways. The most economical way is to simply sprinkle rose petals on top of it! This cake comes in one piece and cannot be mixed with real cake. | ||
| This is our only square artificial cake. It is raked on the side and has dots around the side surfaces. The finish on the top tier is rough and requires flowers to hide the finish. This cake comes in one piece and cannot be mixed with real cake. | ||
| This a traditionally iced three tier cake with only the top tier on pillars. Full rose heads are a good way to decorate the middle and tops tiers. This cake comes in two pieces and cannot be mixed with real cake. | ||
| This is our only coloured fake cake (in pink). It has a flat finish on all surfaces and dots on a slight diagonal. This cake comes in two pieces and cannot be mixed with real cake. | ||
| This is the only cake we have that made it on to national television. It was used as for a reality show. There are dots placed randomly around the cake quite densely. This cake comes in two pieces and cannot be mixed with real cake. | ||
Three Tier Cakes on Stands Cakes on stands are a contemporary way to display wedding cakes. They are simple to set up and easy to transport. The only thing you need to remember is to return the cake stand to us once you are done.
|
||
| This is a three tier stand set up in a stair case configuration. That is, it starts low on one end and goes up like a stair case. This stand can be set up asymmetrically too. Any of these fake tiers can be substituted for real cake. This cake comes in three pieces. The stand has 7 pieces. | ||
Three Tier Cakes with Pillars This is the most traditional style of wedding cake. |

Four Tier Cake with Pillars This is a larger example of the 3 tier vertical wedding cakes. |
||
| This is a 4 tier cake with 1 inch gaps. We have simply laid pillars on their sides to give the cake a gap between each tier. Generally, our clients use flowers to fill the gaps. This cake is decorated in a "icicle" style with cream from a leaf tip draping over the edges of the cake. The icing on the sides can be matched with real cake for edible tier(s). | ||
Five Tier Cake with Pillars Five tier cakes look the most grand. Sure you can get larger cakes but generally after 5 tiers they start to look a bit too big in proportion to the bride and groom standing next to it when doing the cutting ceremony. One thing to consider is whether or no tit is important to you if the cake is taller than you or not. If you and your fiancée are taller than the cake, there will be an unobstructed view of you from all angles when you cut the cake. |
||
| This is a 5 tier cake with 3 inch gaps. This cake is available with or without artificial flowers (below). The icing on the sides is done in a traditional format which can be matched with real cake for edible tier(s). Our fake flowers cannot be used on real cake | ||
| This is a 5 tier cake with 3 inch gaps but iced in a basket weave style. This cake is available with or without artificial flowers. The icing can be matched with real cake for an edible tier(s). Our fake flowers cannot be used on real cake | ||
Five Tier Cakes on Stands The 5 tier cakes on stand enhace the look and flow of their design. The staircaes style flows more than the 3 tier and the asymetric looks more balanced. As with the 3 tiers cakes on stands, each tier can be either fake or real. |
||
| This round staircase orientated cake demonstrates how well it flows. This is our most popular cake on a stand. | ||
| This hexagonal basket weave is set up asymmetrically on a stand. It zig-zags from left to right with the top tier ending up in the middle. | ||
