The way this cake differs from our other five tier staircase cakes is that each pillar is separate on this cake as opposed to being bound together in a U-shape. This gives the decorator more flexibility to place the cakes wherever they want to. The disadvantage is that this platform is less stable and there are more parts to worry about.
